Where can I find FREE houseplants/clippings ?

I have always been fond of houseplants. I seem to have great luck growing them. I had a HUGE collection of plants, that was destroyed by a house fire in 2002. I have spent the last 7 years trying to collect them again. With the economy in such a shape, I don't have a lot of money to pay for them. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks!!
