We all know the famous Malcolm X "bamboozled" speech from the film, but did he ever actually deliver this?

I mean, I've seen Denzel say this, but I can find no evidence of Malcolm X giving this little speech. I've found the phrase "You've been hoodwinked, you've been had...", but I have never even seen or read Malcolm X use the word bamboozled. I hope Spike Lee didn't make this great little tirade up for the film...
