Qestion regarding a perforated ear drum..?

I recently lost my health insurance, So going to the Doctor can get quite expensive. If anyone could help out that would be greatly appreciated.. I woke up in the middle of the night Monday/Tuesday this past week with an excruciating pain in my ear. It was very sharp and my whole ear felt plugged up. I decided to go see a Doctor, since I had never felt pain like this before. He gave me antibiotics for 10 days worth. I started them on Tuesday and today would be my 6th day. I have had little to no relief and horrible throbbing head pains. Now both ears are clogged feeling and I can barely hear out of the original ear in question... Besides needing to go back to the doctor...can anyone provide any relief tips? or has anyone had this happen before?
