What type of cable do I buy to watch movies on my HDTV from my Macbook?

I have a brand new 42" Panasonic Viera the I would like to connect to my Macbook laptop. My goal is to watch movies that I have stored on my Macbook on my TV in HD. Should I purchase a DVI to HDMI cable?
