Should he be in the room?

In December, knowing that we are pregnant, he had pushed me off of the furnature when I was about 2 months. I had left him and moved back tomy hometown and the father was locked up in January. He is expected to be out for the brith... which brings me to my next dilema: Should I allow him to be in the room for the birth? He is locked up now for something different, whereas I can still press Domestic Violence charges on him from what he did in Dec. I don't know which way to think; after him being away from all of the non-sence for 6 months, maybe he will be different, like his letters promise. On the other hand, I was married to an expert manipulator. With this new baby in mind, if the father is allowed in the room for the birth, I would not be able to press DV charges and I wouldn't then be able to prevent anything serious happening later down the road... to protect this baby or myself
