Question about basketball shooting?

Your shooting power comes from the momentum gained from your legs. You should be shooting from above your head since you're shorter than your defenders and this would draw a foul if they try to block when you have the drop on them already. While shooting don't bring up from your waist anymore. Bend your knees, start from your face and bring the ball to the top of your hairline. Now jump(see if your better at the peak of your jump or before you reach the peak of your jump. I'm better if I release before my peak, and I don't jump that high because I have long arms.) Keep practicing this and you'll find the release that agrees with you the most. Don't forget to create space between you and your defender, if they're too close focus on getting a drop on their weak side and draw the foul if anything. Now, go ball.
