nice rythym. read a lot of fiona apple's lyrics- she has a very similar "unedited" kind of style that's quite inspiring. i wouldn'teven edit this one, i'd just write a lot ofother poems without editing. it's a good way to develop a voice. other random advice: avoid cliches at all cost, choose words that express exactly what you mean, and read the poetry of shakespeare. play with rhymes and sounds, try to create certain effects with your diction, and, it sounds obvious, but build your vocabulary.
