Couple of questions?

How far into a pregnancy do you typically start to lactate?? I'm 8 1/2 weeks and I think I might start lactating. There was a whiteish film coming off of my nipple today while I was in the shower, so being inquisitive I wanted to get a better look. When I did that my hand filled with water and I could see little air bubbles. Is that a sign of lactation?? Is there anything to help not show lactation?? (I don't think my boss would like that very much). Also what is a good remedy for a cold?? I don't want to take anything that might hurt my baby. Thanks in advance
